Welcome!

My name is Shannon Helland. I appreciate you exploring my site and taking time to learn about my practice and the services I offer. My business includes four distinct services: Mediation, Collaborative Practice, Relationship Consulting, and Group Facilitation.
Mediation
I am a mediator, committed to working with families in transition. In doing so, I help people uncover and work with the topics that really are the most important to them as they begin making decisions about what they want to create in the next phase of their lives. Mostly, I work with divorcing couples to help them find a respectful resolution to the decisions they need to make as they choose to separate and live a life without the other as a spouse. Often, this includes developing a cooperative relationship around co-parenting their children. I also work with unmarried couples to facilitate reaching parenting agreements with their children.
Collaborative Practice
While I work independently as a mediator, I also am a member of the Collaborative Law Institute. Through CLI, I collaborate with Mental Health Professionals, Child Specialists, Financial Neutrals, as well as with Attorneys, all of whom have had extensive special training in working with families in transition, and are committed to compassionately supporting people through difficult life transitions.
Relationship Consultation
In this one-on-one process, I start with the belief that we are physical, emotional, and intellectual beings, and each of these three areas can be used to support growth in individuals. In this area of my practice, I use breath and body work techniques to aid people in becoming more aware of old habits and then turning those habits around with the intention of bringing their dreams to life.
Group Facilitation
When businesses, groups, or families need help talking with each other, I can come in to their location and help facilitate discussion and education on a variety of topics. I will tailor this work to your needs.
